p&p party planner: cute couture!

Wow you're pregger friends or treat yourself to the kind of baby shower you know will keep them talking about what a 'yummy mummy' you are! Have a make.your.own.onesie station. It's a great way to utilize your guests craftiness and provide the baby on board with a collection of fabulous, one of a kind threads. Think outside of the puff paint and marker box and use pretty ribbon, mini rosettes, and iron on decals.

Deep Water... kind of

A few months ago we teamed up with our favorite catering company, Stuart and Welch, (check them out at http://www.stuartandwelch.com) to put together their launch party here in the city... more on that later. In the process of designing the party Sierra and I got a little carried away and decided we wanted to bring the outdoors in... and what better way to do that than to build a pond? So we embarked on a major floral design adventure...

We built a base for our pond out of floral foam and chicken wire and then attached pond liner through the center. Here we have started to add florals to the structure.

To make it look straight from the garden we use sheet moss to cover our mechanics.

Here we are having a little dip.

Voila! The final product at the event! Don't you want to just dive in?

Wonderland!

This weekend P&P did an Alice In Wonderland.esque wedding here in the city. We loved working with such fun colors to create a fairytale garden feel!

For the bride's bouquet we softened the brightness of the other flowers by using big fluffy peonies as the focal flower. We also mixed it up a bit with some gorgeous green parrot tulips and lots of blue hydrangea. Seeded eucalyptus throughout made for a more romantic, airy feel.

Check out that gorgeous parrot tulip in this bridesmaid's bouquet... Isn't it to die for?

We used sandersonia, ivy and orchid in the chair arrangements to keep them feeling fresh and wildflower inspired.
The centerpieces were designed in the same summery palette as the bridal parties bouquets. We kept the arrangements loose and free in shallow garden bowls.
